Marcia Riddick
Principal
Marcia Riddick first became passionate about education as an elementary school student in Boston Public Schools and decided early to become an effective teacher in her community. Riddick has worked as an educator in the Boston Public Schools for over 20 years, serving as an elementary school teacher, literacy coach, ELA Manager on the K-5 Academic Response Team, and as an instructional coach and interventionist. She was formerly the principal at the Roger Clap Innovation School in Dorchester. Riddick earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Emmanuel College, Master’s Degree in Education and Technology from Lesley University and participated in the Boston Public School’s Aspiring Principal’s Program. She resides in Mattapan.

Nilsa Reis
Assistant Principal
Ms. Reis joined the Mather team as an Assistant Principal in November 2018. She aspires to utilize her leadership skills to assist in the development of educational programs that ensure all students achieve at the highest academic standards. She started her educational career as a Middle School Science teacher at the R.G. Shaw Middle School in the Boston Public Schools. She then taught math at the Angelo Elementary School in Brockton. Her extensive educational background includes thirteen years in BPS as a Special Education Administrator. Ms. Reis has served to enrich and improve the quality of education for students across the general and special education spectrum. She also participated in the Aspiring Principal Program in 2013. Ms. Reis graduated from Boston Public School’s Jeremiah E. Burke High School, and earned her Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees in Moderate Special Needs Education at Boston College. Her most recent role prior to The Mather was an Assistant Principal at Revere High School. She resides in Dorchester and enjoys watching as well as playing sports, but her favorite pastime is reading.
